Paradigms in Consciousness Science Workshop

Bamber Mathematical Consciousness Science Initiative

University of Bamberg, Germany

An online workshop dedicated to critically reflecting on and advancing the paradigms in consciousness Science

There is a discernible underlying structure to human experience that reifies subject-object intentionality, moment to moment. Such an architectonic gesture of consciousness arguably shapes lived experience in indelible ways. Tibetan Buddhist philosophical and contemplative traditions understand that this dualistic arc is not a natural structure, and moreover, can be dismantled, dissolved, and disentangled via meditative technique. To engender further research at the boundaries of consciousness science, and existing subject-object presuppositions, this talk will present a descriptive and phenomenological nondual model according to the Tibetan Buddhist Dzogchen understanding of consciousness and its transformations.
