Biography authored on the Treasury of Lives site of the 17th c. Tibetan woman author, yoginī, and lineage-holder of the Jonang order of Tibetan Buddhism – Jetsunma Kunga Trinlé Wangmo (1585-1668).

“In her autobiography titled, The Secret Gnosis, Trinle Wangmo narrates her life from the time she was a child growing up along the Yardok Yum Tso lake through her adulthood living in the Jomonang valley to her elderly life as a leader of the Jonang order. She first met her future teacher and consort Tāranātha when she was a girl at age seven, which would have made him about seventeen years old. At the age of twenty-two she moved to the Jomonang valley where she lived until her death.”
